Before and After: Window Treatments

BEFORE:

Bare kitchen and adjacent family room windows in need of some sun control and framing.

AFTER:

We made a functioning roman shade for over the kitchen sink and added Hunter Douglas shutters in the family room and throughout the rest of the home.

We also made some 24 x 24 pillows in the same fabric as the roman to coordinate.

A few simple changes for a much more finished look!

In addition to drapery, roman shades, valances, cornices, and other custom window treatments, we also work with and install

Hunter Douglas, Skandia, Fashion Tech, and MDS products.

Before and After: Bath Tub

BEFORE:

Need a face lift? Feel tired and old….

AFTER:

Why don’t you slip into something more comfortable…

We added new flooring, a slipper tub and window treatments to make this bathroom feel like your on vacation!

The bathtub is by Barclay and the flooring is Thassos Basket weave with Ming Green Marble, for more info you can contact us at info@judyscustomworkroom.com!

Cornice Box Possibilities!

Cornice boxes are constantly being made here at Judy’s Custom Workroom. They are wonderful window treatments on their own or on top of drapery panels, roman and roller shades, and blinds. With cornice boxes you can cover up not so pretty hardware and window frames you would prefer to hide.

There are so many options and possibilities when it comes to cornice boxes, and thanks to Pinterest we can give you some fun ideas!

You can add interest to simple shapes with trim, piping, contrast fabric, tassels, and nailheads. There are also so many fun geometric and scalloped, curvy designs you can create to give your room a sophisticated or whimsical look.

For a similar softer look, valances are another great window treatment. Keep following to see more of our Pinterest inspiration posts!

Designers We Love to Work With: Deirdre Eagles

Did you visit the beautiful Philharmonic House of Design in Laguna Beach this year?

Southern California interior designers transformed the 20th annual Philharmonic House of Design into a stunning retreat showcased from April 24th to May 20th. Funds raised support the Philharmonic Society of Orange County. The mission of the Philharmonic Society, a not-for-profit organization, is to foster, promote and increase the knowledge and appreciation of music and the arts through the presentation of performances of national and international stature and the development and implementation of a wide variety of education outreach programs.

We had the pleasure of working with Deirdre Eagles, the interior designer responsible for transforming the home’s kitchen and nook.  Deirdre Eagles Interior Design an award-winning full service residential interior design firm. The firm handles projects of all sizes and scopes, while specializing in kitchen and bathroom remodeling and custom homes. The firm has done projects throughout Southern California.

Deirdre (above) asked us at Judy’s Custom Workroom to come on board for her window treatments and some of her furniture. We were happy to help such a good cause and work with such a kind, committed designer.
