Luxury Redefined by Highland Court.

From its subtle sheen to soft hand, silk is the epitome of opulent luxury. This season, Highland Court from Duralee revisits this habitually traditional fabric with a fresh eye Silk Traditions, a3-color book set of undated silks and silk blends. A true collaboration between old and new. the fabrics of Silk Traditions are traditionally-inspired, yet styled for current, chic interiors. Classic stripes and delicate embroideries mix with dramatic tile motifs and a floral watercolor design for a comprehensive collection that utilizes new techniques – such as digital printing on silk – while also keeping true to the classic woven.

The colors of the Silk Traditions collection range from sophisticated neutrals to the statement brights, all of which are showcased in three distinct color families. The Adriatic color book features on-trend shade of green in a peridot and avocado, while also focusing on the classic shades of blue in the chambray and a light seafoam. Gardenia packs a punch of color with the lighter shades of pink ranging from flamingo to raspberry, and adds a touch of elegance with darker, jewel tones from ruby red to rich garnet. The more neutral tones of the Sandstone color book include s a natural palette of colors ranging from snow white and vanilla ivory to richer shades of oyster gray and golden bronze.

From sumptuous upholstery to elegant drapery, the fabrics of Silk Traditions are the perfect combination of glamour and effortless style.

Clarke and Clarke Sneak Peak

Duralee, one of the largest textile companies in the U.S., has partnered with Clarke & Clarke, a U.K. based fabric and wallcoverings editor to be the exclusive distributor for their products in the United States. The Clarke & Clarke product is now completely distributed worldwide.

Last week we had the opportunity to meet Duncan Clarke from Clarke & Clarke as a part of the Stonemill Design Center’s fall event, “Fall Into Stonemill”. He talked about the development of the company and gave us a sneak peak of the upcoming fabric and wallcovering collections coming to the US in January 2012!

Spoiler alert… excuse the poor photography and get excited for what is to come!

Can’t wait to use these fabrics for window treatments!

Beautiful linen embroideries in vibrant colors!

Some of the wallcoverings Duncan showcased… Clarke & Clarke definitely has some exciting new designs and color palettes!

Absolutely LOVE this wallpaper! Makes us want to do more traveling!

MISSONI-Inspired

Missoni has been at the forefront of fashion since founders Tai and Rosita started producing their signature crocheted knits in 1953. Now under the creative leadership of the couple’s daughter Angela, the label continues to deliver exquisite collections with inimitable Italian flair. Missoni  is known for its multitude of patterns such as stripes, geometrics, and abstract florals, in a kaleidoscope of colors.

Missoni has received massive media attention this fall especially with the designer fashion line hitting Target.  We have all heard of the sold out stores with empty shelves and people raving over the fun clothes and accessories. But why stop there? Bring some Missoni into your home.

Here are some Missoni-inspired fabrics we found browsing through Judy’s Custom Workroom’s fabric library. Zig zags, geometric patterns and touches of tribal… enjoy!
