Metallics continue to be a hot style trend in fashion and now are firmly planted in home furnishings through accent pieces and accessories. We see this color trend in fabrics moving toward a younger aesthetic with more defined shades of gold and bronze.
Incorporate this trend for a touch of glam with fabrics and trimmings from Fabricut and Trend’s latest collections.
Â
Fabricut:
Vega Metallic – Bronze (Vignettes Vol. XIII): Embroidered with bronze metallic yarn, this contemporary wave stripe is a great example of both the trend toward bronze and the trend toward organic shapes.
Studded Squares – Linen Gold (Modern Nuances): Inspired by fashion accessories, modern studded squares are heat-adhered to a rich textural blend with just the right amount of linen.
Glint – Gold (Cord Library): A small metallic cord elegantly refined in both its scale and gold color.
Trend:
03344 – Bronze (Contemporary Faux Leather): Beautifully, bronzed faux leather that is perfect for both upholstery and headboards. This shade of bronze works well with contemporary, transitional and global interiors.
Fabricut Decorative Drapery Hardware:
Gold Brass 36 (Classic Minimalism): Like a delicate gold necklace, the sleek profile of this hardware color adds a hint of sophistication; coordinates perfectly with gold accessories for the home.

“These collections enhance the areas of our success with on trend finial designs that are not readily available from our competitors,†said Millie Hammond, senior product stylist for Fabricut. “They make a statement of distinct style mixed with gleaming elegance.â€
The Global Elements collection invites us to a place where the views are breathtaking and the atmosphere provokes a sense of warmth. It mixes handcrafted metal with stunning distressed wood finishes that gives clients the flexibility to create their own dynamic combinations. This collection pairs perfectly with suzani, ikat and kilim fabrics that are prevalent in today’s home furnishings.
Fabricut’s Decorative Drapery Hardware now offers more than 450 pieces in eight distinct collections: Classic Minimalism, Decorative Sash Rods, European Grandeur, Global Elements, Modern Fusion, Modern Surfaces, Stately Traditions and Wood Classics. All of which are available for your viewing here at Judy’s Custom Workroom!
While visiting the Laguna Design Center for their Spring Market Day, we made sure to stop by Kravet. We love their fabrics and enjoy working with them! They had Judy’s Custom Workroom do some drapery for their showroom recently and we thought we would take a look at it installed!
This fresh fabric is Lee Jofa embroidered linen “Nolita- Brass/Wheat” lined with Kravet linen “24575-1”.
We also love the Kravet Couture fabric on the pillows: “Main Focus- Citrus”
The drapery hardware is a part of Kravet’s Barabara Barry Indochine collection pictured below. The collection comes in 6 different finishes. We used the “Soft Silver” with “Secret Key” finials and “Perfect Circle” rings.
Here are a few more pictures of what Kravet has to offer for drapery hardware. They have many great options for traditional and contemporary treatments.
And of course while we were there we had to admire the new colorful Windsor Smith collection…
…and oh so bright Lee Jofa Lilly Pullitzer fabrics!
Thank you Kravet! We look forward to doing more work for your showroom in the future.
We are loving Barbara Barry’s Indochine collection for Kravet. The fabrics, trimmings, carpet, and drapery hardware are inspired by the colors, textures and patterns of Asia. Check out the video above to hear about the designers travels and design philosophy.
We love using these rich and luxurious fabrics. While the collection is Asian-inspired, the fabrics can definitely be used in both contemporary and traditional spaces.  We are currently making beautiful pillows for a client using “Tambour Stitch – Mica” The detail on the this pattern is stunning.
Sample books we have here in our library at Judy’s Custom Workroom: “Golden Fig”, “Silver Lotus”, and “Lacquer Blanc de Chine”
Drapery hardware. Excited to use this collection for a current client!
We hope to see more designs from Barbara Barry in the future.
