Before and After: Glamorous Bedroom
We are currently working with a client who sent us this thank you letter. She originally called us to simply fix a poorly made table skirt for her bedroom. She was so happy with our work ethic and excited about the ideas we had for her that she wanted to continue working with us. We have completed her master bedroom and are now working on her master bathroom, powder room, and entry.
“I want to thank you for helping me take some bold steps and step out of my comfort zone for without you the beauty that is unfolding before me in my home would never have been possible. You have such a way of gently encouraging one to take a leap of faith with you and then voila! the appreciation of your collaboration is manifested in the “look†and feel of the space. I look forward to the transformation my home and especially my bedroom with your designs and expert craftsmanship…this is so fulfilling and exciting! My sincere appreciation for what initially was a botched table skirt became a complete vision exceeding my expectations!”
We wanted to share this and emphasize again that it does not matter how big or small a project is here. We are happy to help and love when clients are this excited about their transformations.

Client Work: Completely Custom!
We are loving the photos we just got back from our photographer of this living and dining space we designed! Our client wanted a clean, contemporary, Santa Barbara look. We believe we gave her that relaxing, casual elegance by furnishing the space with custom designed pieces.
In the living space below, we made the sofa and chairs here at Judy’s Custom Workroom. We also designed the Tibetan silk and wool combination area rug and limestone and wood occasional table on top of it. We love the way the drapery we made compliments the beautiful wood beams and window casings of the room.
Our client had some existing Spanish style furniture including the table and buffet in the dining area that she loved, but she wanted an overall more contemporary look. We designed Spanish style dining chairs but upholstered them in contemporary fabrics and added nail heads for a fresh clean look.
Arrivals: New Fabricut Fabrics
This just in! We just received 4 new Fabricut books in the mail. The books feature natural linen and cotton fabrics in mostly neutral tone hues. These fabrics are suitable for drapery, bedding and light upholstery. There is an array of florals, toiles, animal prints and woven solids…
We are planning on using Fabricut fabrics from the “Graceful Linens” collection for the window treatments in the breakfast nook and family room below. The home has beautiful views that just are just missing a beautiful frame. Our client was naturally drawn to these casual yet elegant fabrics. Keep following for “after” photos!
Who says neutral colors are boring? The texture of these fabrics adds visual interest. Here are a few fabrics we love from the “Nuances-Linen and Cotton” in color “Linen” book…
Also in the sample books we just received were some great cotton and linen sheer fabrics for window treatments. Here are a few of our favorites!
Work in Progress: Dramatic Nursery
White carpet will be installed and the clients existing chairs will also be reupholstered in a white fabric TBD. We are also working on finding a fun chandelier for the center of the room. The wallpaper we have chosen so far is Amazone 28200- Peat Black Stripe from Arte for Koroseal, a collection we have been DYING to use since it arrived and hope to use more with future clients!
“In recent years the trend has switched back to beautiful objects of yesteryear. And this means that the right kind of wallcovering is needed to go with them. Amazone fits in perfectly with this trend. It is a unique and exclusive wallcovering in very beautiful crumpled fabric that is the ultimate in chic. The fabric is taffeta, rich and densely woven that produces a very special effect when the light falls on it. The smooth finish is magnificent in itself, and the design is a pure gem. An outstanding example of craftsmanship too, because the prints are made using a very sophisticated flock technique producing a totally divine result. Available in colors such as black black, praline brown, theatre red, frozen chestnut, ivory, laurel green, bronze green, brick red, storm blue and rust. Amazone: this time, Arte has clearly surpassed itself.”
